Nutrition Education Through Entertainment
Jill Jayne, known as the Rockstar Nutritionist, will perform a concert for her biggest fans — children — in St. Louis, Friday, August 5. Sponsored by Fontbonne University’s Camp F.R.E.S.H.℠, Jayne’s performance will take place in Medaille Meadow on the university’s campus from 6-7 p.m.

The Jump with Jill performance at a professional baseball stadium was a career highlight!
The We Can! (Ways to Enhance Children’s Activity & Nutrition) Program, a partnership of Charles County Department of Community Services, the Charles County Department of Health, and Civista Health, invited the community of Waldorf, MD to experience the rock ‘n roll nutrition show for FREE on the first weekend in April. The stadium is home to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
To announce her appearances around Nebraska, Jill appeared on WOWT, Omaha’s NBC Affiliate. Talking about her rock ‘n roll approach to nutrition with anchor Chase Moffitt, Jill was the special guest for the Midday program.

Nebraska Action for Healthy Kids presents the 5th Annual Summit “Take Action! Sharing Successes and Building for the Future” this Wednesday, April 13th from 8 AM- 3:30 PM at the Center for People in Need Conference Center, Lincoln, NE.
Action for Healthy Kids is a nonprofit, volunteer organization formed specifically to address the epidemic of overweight, sedentary, and undernourished youth by focusing on changes in Nebraska schools to improve nutrition and increase physical activity. The Summit is designed to provide schools and community members with the knowledge and resources necessary to promote health and wellness within Nebraska schools. In addition to providing information on best practices, the summit provides attendees with a chance to network with other wellness advocates and hear about success stories that are happening in Nebraska.
Jill Jayne, MS, RD, The Rockstar Nutritionist, will be a keynote speaker at the summit exploring different ways to deliver nutrition and physical activity education. Her background as a musician and love for nutrition will engage the audience in a new and exciting way. Jill Jayne’s keynote will expand the boundaries of nutrition and physical activity education by discovering new ways to educate through entertainment. During an interactive breakout session designed for the students, Jill will challenge the youth to be change agents in their own schools to promote health and wellness. Attendees will walk away with new ways to adapt their education style to better connect with their target audience.

All family members are welcome to attend and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The performance includes songs promoting physical activity and nutrition. This high-energy and educational program will have the whole family out of their seats and dancing to the beat!
“Jump with Jill” Rock n’ Roll Nutrition Show Coming to Clayton, Missouri on April 5
Clayton has teamed up with Chartwells and Fontbonne University to bring the widely-popular “Jump with Jill” program to Meramec Elementary School’s gym on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. The performance is open to all Clayton students and families.
The live concert about nutrition for elementary students is a fun, interactive experience that helps increase retention of important health messages. Created by a registered dietitian and musician, the show has been performed nearly 600 times for almost 100,000 children all over the U.S.
By using original music, movement-based learning and a compelling character, Jump with Jill uses the same tools normally used to sell junk food and keep kids sedentary into a powerful tool for teaching healthy habits.
The songs performed are the hit tracks from the show’s soundtrack, Get Me Goin’. The songs are set up and transitioned with kid-appropriate explanations of the song content. The topics covered include respecting your body, eating breakfast, drinking more water, getting enough calcium, exercising, examining food packages more closely and eating less junk food. The show is both educationally sound and completely rock n’ roll.
