Who We AreAbout JillJill Jayne, MS, RD, is the country's only Rockstar Nutritionist. She is the leading expert in creating and delivering interactive media about health to kids and families. As President and Creative Director of Note to Health, Jayne creates interactive programming that fuses health education with music.
Note To Health’s most popular program is Jump with Jill, the rock ‘n roll nutrition show and CD for elementary kids. Jill is the creator and lead performer Jump with Jill, as well as the Executive Producer of the show’s accompanying audio CD, Get Me Goin’. Jill also writes weekly on her blog “On the Beat with the Rockstar Nutritionist” chronicling her whereabouts and nutritional conundrums during her tour travels and provides critical commentary on food issues and new food products that are related to kids and families. Jill’s knack for rock ‘n roll nutrition is the result of being a registered dietitian mixed with her musical experience as lead singer-songwriter of her band Sunset West. Sunset West has toured and recorded extensively in the mainstream music scene including The Vans Warped Tour and The Next Great American Band on FOX. The band now regularly tours middle and high schools with their nutrition and media literacy show, I Will Not Be Bought. Many Sunset West members are also featured on the Get Me Goin’ CD.
Jill’s experience as an off-Broadway actress, Radio Disney DJ, sketch comedy music writer and performer, and jazz pianist have also contributed to her musical expertise. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Jill is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in nutrition education from Columbia University and a bachelor’s in nutrition and theater from Penn State University. The resulting combination launched a unique and exciting career in nutrition entertainment. Before becoming a professional Rockstar Nutritionist, Jill was writer, producer and host of the nationally syndicated, nationally-acclaimed children’s nutrition news program What’s in the News for PBS and a New York City public school teacher. Jill specializes in professional pizzazz at conferences and events for grown-ups. Part speech, part performance, Jill makes sure her audiences gets the facts about nutrition but in a way that they will surely remember. Jill consults with companies and organizations to re-strategize health-focused products and services. Jill is a short order cook in music production, serving as a top-to-bottom production house for original music and jingles for creative brand delivery. Jill hails from Pittsburgh and now resides in New York City.
About Note to HealthNote to Health specializes in age-appropriate, interactive multimedia productions designed to teach kids about health. Our creations take shape as touring school assembly programs, concerts, educational music, music videos, and interactive workshops. We also train educators, parents and healthcare providers who are seeking creative ways to motivate kids to eat their vegetables and teens to ditch their morning, afternoon and evening energy drink routine. We do not like PowerPoint presentations. We believe people learn best by doing….and rocking out!
